Our Story

NYUE was founded in 2020

with the vision to make learning fun for children in Hong Kong. It started off as a platform on social media sharing educational tips and beliefs which turned into a loving and supportive environment of learning and growth. Now, our work ranges from face-to-face and Zoom classes, materials development, teacher training to teaching and parenting consultation.

Learning should be fun in order to be sustainable.

We envision a world where every child, regardless of their starting point, feels confident and excited about learning English. Our classroom aims to be a beacon of creativity and engagement, where children discover the joy of reading and storytelling. By cultivating a lifelong passion for literature, we aspire to develop confident communicators who can express their thoughts, ideas, and dreams with clarity and creativity.

Our Vision

It is obvious that your position is different from the other centres as we parents can see your passion from your sharing on social media. Being able to connect with the kids and willing to do non-mainstream English learning activities with the kids like cooking and outing is a rare quality.

The things you do for the kids are not limited to during the lessons, but also after and even in your free time as you give us a lot of useful suggestions and communicate with the kids after the class. This is definitely rare to see among other centres out there. I can tell that every single student adores you.

I’ve sent my girls to other English classes since she was 2 but when she entered P1, she still couldn’t write in sentences confidently and was reluctant to express herself in English. That was until I met Miss Janice and her team, she adjusted the learning plan accordingly to boost my girl’s sense of security and confidence. Every time, she smiles broadly before and after going to NYUE, and would initiate to buy books you guys read with her. Now, she’s starting to speak more as well. Thank you Miss Janice!

The kids’ reactions are the best testament to the quality of the lessons. My girl is always excited after the lesson, always looking forward to the next meeting. Their reactions don’t lie.

I came across NYUE on Facebook, and discovered their exercise books. It amazed me how much my students loved them so much that I asked for more!  I like the reading kits because they are unique from other materials I purchase and print from the Internet. They are written with Hong Kong students in mind, so my students all love the exercises and I always find it super relaxing to teach.

Just tried to read this story to her today but she took the box of letters out herself and started to find the beginning letter for each animal like how you taught. She’s never played with alphabet toys. Did you do magic?
